Events taking place at EICC impart knowledge, build relationships, and inspire ideas that change the world. However, we recognise there are also inherent adverse impacts to running events. We consider it both a moral and business imperative to place sustainability at the heart of every event we host, at every step of the process.
Our sustainability programme, Step Change, focuses on three equally significant, interconnected areas of impact: environmental, societal and economic. That’s why we introduced three initiatives to collectively address these spheres of impact. This forward-thinking strategy means that our clients can be assured that their events will demonstrate best practice in sustainability, without compromising on the standards of excellence for which events at the EICC are renowned.
When it comes to managing our facility in a sustainable manner, we have an excellent track record in waste management, with zero waste from our premises sent to landfill. Since 2013 the EICC has also reduced its carbon emissions by 55%.
