ISPCAN will be partnering with the newly established Childlight, Global Child Safety Institute within the University of Edinburgh, whose mission is to gather and visualize the global prevalence and nature of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Now more than ever it is critical that we collaborate to use data-led approaches more effectively, to deliver better child-centered outcomes for children and families, and to reduce secondary vicarious trauma for our front-line professionals. We hope the congress will bring an additional spotlight on the role of the front line practitioners like law enforcement in helping us understand what is working. The theme of the congress embodies our ambition to better understand the most effective approaches for addressing adverse childhood experiences through prevention, treatment, research, policy and collaboration.
