Edinburgh is a destination with enormous appeal - in fact, its second in the UK, after London, in ICCA's rankings.  Beyond the stats there is an immense passion, from the EICC and our partners, to see your conference thrive here.

Collaboration

Whether you’re bidding to bring your organisation’s conference to Edinburgh, or you’re soon to begin planning your conference, we can provide you with the support and expertise to make the process easier and more successful.

Organising a conference is a collaborative process. Having been in operation for 30 years, we have a well-established network of trusted suppliers and city partners that we work with to produce brilliant conferences, here at the EICC.

We’re well-connected with Edinburgh's industry and academia, so if you would like to explore some local inspiration to enrich your event, then we would be delighted to help.

Added Value

Beyond the conference programme, we can connect you with hotels, social venues, travel operators and convention bureau services.

Travel.  Your delegates can enjoy discounts on travel options including: 30% off rail travel with LNER. And 20% off local taxi transfers with City Cabs.

EICC Boardroom.  Ahead of your conference we'll provide a complimentary boardroom for your committee or planning meetings.

Comms.  Complimentary WIFI for your delegates. And digital branding throughout the venue for you.

Packages.  We have a series of Added Value Packages, which are designed to reward your conference, and give your delegates a treat, regardless of your numbers.

Travel

Air & Rail.  Edinburgh Airport can be reached from 150+ worldwide destinations. Within the UK, there are 50+ daily flights to London. And by rail, delegates travelling from London can reach Edinburgh in just 4 hours.

Tram & Bus.  The Edinburgh Tram service is an efficient and sustainable way to reach the city centre from the airport, and within the city there is frequent and reliable network of buses.

Foot & Peddle.  Being a compact and walkable city, your delegates might choose to get around on foot, or they might use Edinburgh's Cycle Hire scheme, which includes both regular and electric bikes.

Promotion

We're well-positioned to help you shout about your event before, during and after it takes place. Below are some of the opportunities that you can take advantage of. But we love new ideas! So please let us know if there's something else that we can help you achieve.

Content.  We can provide compelling content and promotional materials which will assist you in promoting Edinburgh as your next conference destination.

Promotions.  Ahead of your conference, we will list the event details on EICC's What’s On page and promote it via our social media channels. We can also discuss local PR opportunities and creating a bespoke EICC Ideas Hub piece.

Legacy

Conferences serve as powerful catalysts for societal progress. At the EICC we are committed to empowering you to create a meaningful impact both locally and globally. Here are a few examples.

EICC Live.  Take advantage of EICC Live, our series of free public talks, and host one alongside your conference programme.  It's a great opportunity to collaborate with local industry and to widen the reach of your message.  We will take care of the logistics and promote it for you.

Public Engagement.  If you'd like to hold a public engagement event out with the EICC then we can connect you with the right industry, academic or local authority contacts to make it happen.  We'd also be happy to assist with creative ideas to make an impact.

Sustainability.  We're passionate about making a positive impact, so we've established relationships with a few sustainability heroes which help us in achieving that, and which your conference can benefit from too. For example, we can assist with donating any surplus delegate materials to local schools and communities, which are in need of resources.

Impact Reports.  We will record the environmental, societal and economic impact of your event and provide you with a comprehensive report afterwards.

We're proud to work with our city's universities and local health service as part of the Exchange Initiative Advisory Board.
